SAINSBURY’S HR Transformation

The first of two Rich Pictures for Sainsbury's outlining their plans to reorganise their HR function.

The data gathering included interviewing a shop manager in Leeds, visiting a huge distribution centre in the Midlands and a two day brainstorming session in Manchester.

The snakes and ladders metaphor sprang from the step-by-step nature of the change programme they had planned out. The ‘treacle’ was their description of what it felt like in the current state struggling with multiple obsolete and non-compatible IT systems. I had the idea of turning H.R. into HeRo in shining armour, slaying the time-consuming ‘tracker’ dragon.

Enjoyed working wih Paul from start to finish. He delivered what was required to time and budget and agreement and satisfaction from the client
