Something different after years of producing Rich Pictures for large organisations with global recognition- a Rich Picture for a private individual.
I was contacted by Charlotte, a PhD student in Social Work to produce a picture to encapsulate and illustrate her thesis. (Actually it’s not the first time I have contributed to a PhD, I have also produced a couple of pictures for JAC colleague Caroline Gowing for her PhD in Forestry Management but they were more like infographics really). Of course I couldn’t charge the usual price I might get from a big company but I was “between jobs” and I was glad of the work. The girl on the balance board holds the red pencil “watermark”.
The subject was a research project into the experiences of autistic young people in secure care. It took a couple of weeks to turn around and Charlotte was very happy with the resulting picture and was kind enough to give me a recommendation on Linkedin which I quote below.
“Paul developed a rich picture to communicate the findings of my thesis. He went over and above to understand the subject matter, and really took on board my ideas about how to visually represent it as well as having plenty of his own. He was fast and responsive, and kept me updated every step of the way. The level of detail in the finished picture is incredible, and perfectly captures the key findings of my research project.”
